| Best Kept Village |
The committee for the Best Kept Village are pleased to announce that EDINGALE has won the Best Kept (Small) Village in the Lichfield/Cannock Chase Districts for the second consecutive year. We would like to thank the individuals and groups involved in keeping the village tidy and largely litter free, and special thanks to all who have kept their gardens and frontages up to a good standard, which clearly influenced the judges. We will receive the judges comments within a few weeks and will publish them as soon as possible.
At the presentation the Chairman of the BKV Working Group once again commented that there were only percentages of a point between villages, which demonstrates the need for us all to do our very best to maintain the standard set over the last two years if we are to win again.
It is with regret that we will lose the District Trophy, currently residing in Croxall Road opposite the school, in September to Kings Bromley, who were judged Best (Large) Village in our District.
With continued effort and awareness we must surely try for three in a row next year, win the trophy back and increase the pride in our Village and Community.
